Lois Emory Barham, 87, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 9, 2017. She was born June 30, 1929 in Wake County to the late James Theodore Emory and Mildred Ward Emory.  Lois graduated from Millbrook High School in 1947 and retired from a Raleigh medical practice after a long successful career.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and cherished her times with family and friends. Lois enjoyed gardening and the serenity of her beautiful yard.

Lois was married to her high school sweetheart, David Harold Barham on April 25, 1950.  They were married for 52 years and blessed with three sons.  David preceded her in death on October 4, 2002.

Surviving:  Sons: Michael D. Barham, wife, Tammy of Wake Forest; Glenn W. Barham, wife, Leigh Anne of Wake Forest; Larry H. Barham, wife, Nancy of Raleigh.  Grandchildren: Jennifer Bailey, husband, Clif; Brittany Hardee, husband, Ryan; David Barham, wife, Jessica; Paige Barham, Hannah Barham, Heather Overton. Great-Grandchildren: Jayden, Taylor, Ryleigh, Jordan and Zach; Sister: Eunice Moore, husband Jack of Wake Forest, special nephew Donnie Moore of Wake Forest.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm on Saturday, May 13th at Harold Poole Funeral Home in Knightdale, NC. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, May 15th at New Hope Baptist Church, 4301 Louisburg Road, Raleigh, NC  27604.  Entombment will follow at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Drive, Wake Forest, 27587.
