Linda Fleming Steed, 74, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Linda was born in Pitt County on December 23, 1942 to the late Curtis Edward Fleming and Annie Little Fleming. Linda worked as a private investigator with Galvin Detective Agency. 

Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545 with Reverend Sam Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm at the funeral home. 

Surviving: daughters: Tracy S. Parsons (John) of Wake Forest, Sheresa “Sherry” King (Donnie) of Wake Forest; son, William A. Steed, Jr. of Brosville, VA; grandchildren: Ashley Patterson, Alex Parsons,    Christopher Faison, Rachael King, Alex Steed, Jessica Steed; great-grandchildren: Allissa, Austin, Amber, Tyler, Skyler; sisters: Janet Morton of Raleigh, Betsy Fleming of Greenville, Julia Seymour of Greenville, Bertha Viccarro of Washington; numerous nieces and nephews; her long-time friend, Angela Whichard.     

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Alan Steed, brothers: Jimmy, Joe and Curtis Edward Fleming, and a great-granddaughter, Aubree Patterson.
