Keng Thirakoun, 84, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017. He was born December 12, 1932 in Laos to the late Kan Thirakoun and Chae Khanthavysouk Thirakoun. He was a retired banker.   

Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545 with cremation to follow. 

The family will receive relatives 2:00 pm, Friday, April 7, 2017. 

Surviving: 1 daughter, 4 sons, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Khamkeuang Thirakoune and daughter, Keophouthone Thirakoun.
