Katherine Ayscue Watkins, 89, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016. She was born November 16, 1926 in Franklin County to the late Warner Norfleet Ayscue and Jennie Hicks Ayscue. She retired as a clerk from Southern Bell with 37 ½ years of service.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, 3328 Forestville Road, Raleigh, 27616.

Surviving: sons: Donald R. Phillips and Monty N. Phillips, both of Raleigh; grandchildren: Brent Phillips, Shane Phillips, Jessica Phillips, and Jonathon Hurt; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her husbands: Mack Phillips and Alton E. Watkins; siblings: Louise Thompson, Thurston Ayscue, Leland Ayscue, and Sarah Medlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Building Fund.
