Joan Ellen Crandall Whitfield, 73, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018. She was born April 9, 1944 in Denver, CO to the late George Robert Crandall and Violet Pauline Lyday Crandall.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 10:00 am, Friday, January 12, 2018 at Lifepointe Church, 9500 Durant Rd, Raleigh, 27614.

Surviving: husband, Jimmie Duane Whitfield of Clayton; son, Todd Whitfield (Sadie) of Yucca Valley, CA; daughters: Julie Whitfield Luchene (Ron) of Clayton, Lori Whitfield Perkins (Lance) of  Menifee, CA; brothers: Bob Crandall of Northglenn, CO, Cody Crandall of Euless, TX, Jim Crandall of Arvada, CO; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by sister, Sallie C. Markwood and brother, Bill Crandall.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local favorite charity, in Joan’s memory.
