Faye Margaret Partin, age 74, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 18, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Faye was born in Wake County on June 29, 1941 to the late Badger F. Partin and Florine Gilchrist Partin.  Faye graduated from Knightdale High School in 1959. She worked as a Data Entry Supervisor with the NC Employment Security Commission.  Faye and her family were lifelong members of Knightdale United Methodist Church.  After retirement, Faye loved going to the beach, Lake Gaston, Disney, and her job of 20 plus years at the NC State Fair. 

A service to celebrate Faye’s life will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

Her family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 5:00 to 6:45 pm.

Surviving, sister and her best friend, Amy P. McColl (Dave); sister in law, Betty H. Partin; nieces and nephews, Sharon Call, Kim Partin, George Partin, David McColl, Jr., Ben Partin; great nieces and nephews, Kinsley, Trey, Annie, Ellie and Reid, and a host of special friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Caroline Margaret and brother George (Buck) A. Partin, Sr.,

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Transitions LifeCare (Hospice), 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607, or Wake County Animal Shelter, 820 Beacon Lake Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.
