On August 15th, Emilio "Dave" Leon lost his hard fought battle against cancer.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Ronda, sons: Christopher and Nicholas; daughters: Hannah, Holly and Abby and grandson Colton; mother, Josephine; brothers: Mel, Phil and sister Ophelia. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Emilio Leon, Sr. 

A man of many talents, the least of which was jamming out on his drums to heavy metal. He loved his Bears and Notre Dame, GO IRISH! Dave was always willing to lend a hand whether installing a computer or building a deck. He was a kind man who spoke softly but his words were true. He will be missed by all who had the honor and pleasure of calling him husband, father, brother, friend. 

A service to celebrate his life will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:45 pm at the funeral home. 

Flowers are accepted as are contributions to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC.
