Claude Lee “Blackie” Wrenn, Jr., 90, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at Rex Healthcare. Claude was born June 26, 1926 in Franklin County to the late Claude Lee Wrenn, Sr. and Allie B. Fuller Wrenn. Claude was a self-employed farmer.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, August 1, 2016 at Oak Level Christian Church, 2279 Cedar Creek Rd., Youngsville, 27596. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. 

The family will receive relatives and friends following the service in the church fellowship hall for a time of food and fellowship. 

Surviving: children: Mary Wrenn Nunnery of Hope Mills, Claude L. Wrenn, III of Franklinton, Ronnie Franklin Wrenn (Merri-Lynne) of Wendell; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren;; several nieces and nephews.  

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lillian Holden Wrenn; children: Charlotte Bailey and Connie Hanson; sisters: Sally Wrenn Harris, Josephine Wrenn Smith brother, Wilson “Peter” Wrenn.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Level Christian Church.
