Clarence Moye Cox, 74, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, October 19, 2017. He was born October 1, 1943 in Durham County to the late James Harvey Cox, Sr. and Nancy Raynor Cox. For many years he was a Shop Foreman with Capital Ford. Clarence had a great love for fishing, gardening, cooking, automobiles and music. 

A visitation service will be held Monday, October 23, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. 

Surviving: wife, Kathy Kearney Cox; daughter, Denise Bartholomew (Dave) of Raleigh; son, Alan Cox (Veronica) of Apex; step-son, Bill Hellmuth of Mt. Airy; granddaughter, Ashley Cox; siblings: Sally Rhew (Buford) of Willow Spring, Anna Medlin of Rockingham, James Harvey Cox, Jr. (Karen) of Selma, John Roland Cox of Newport; several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his brother, Milton Royce Cox.
