Cecil Blythe Garner, 82, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016. He was born June 12, 1934 in Halifax County to the late Leslie Garner and Letha Blythe Cranford. 

A celebration of life will be held at his home in December. 

 Cecil grew up in Roanoke Rapids, NC, where he met and married his late wife, Barbara. He worked at Cape Canaveral during the early years of the space program, Miller Electronics, then started his own breath alcohol testing company, RepCo Marketing (1980). His family and work were very important to him. RepCo’s success was in part due to his companion Irma Baker and most recently dedicated employees Alma Palmer and Colby Hale.

  Surviving: son, Steven Blythe Garner (Amelia) of Raleigh; daughter, Pamela Kidder (Jonathan) of Wake Forest; grandchildren: Bonnie Kidder (Curt Weikart); Alison Hudson (Bryan); great-grandchild, Olivia Hudson

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Brown Garner and companion, Irma Baker.
