Caroline Sides Yanulevich, 89, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017. She was born April 6, 1928 in Conyngham, PA to the late James Sides and Rebecca Taylor Sides. Carol was a homemaker who volunteered many years as a Girl Scout Leader. She was a Charter Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church involved with the Young at Heart and Catholic Golden Age and was an avid Bingo player.

A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2817 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC 27610. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am.

Inurnment will take place at a later date in Pennsylvania where she will be buried with her beloved husband, John.

Surviving: daughter, Susan Hicks and her husband Craven of Raleigh; son, Joe Yanulevich of Raleigh; grandchildren: Erika Wade and husband Daniel, Taryn Madden and husband Bud; her loyal canine Pomeranian companions: Nala and Bentley.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Rosa Messer of Brier Creek Primary Care for the wonderful care given to Carol during her illness.
