Carole Wootton Greene, 83, passed away on September 11, 2017. Carole was a lifelong resident of Wendell and member of Wendell United Methodist Church. She enjoyed time with family and friends at Kerr Lake and Topsail Island.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James W. Greene; son, Randy Greene (Jennifer Beard); daughters: Jamie G. Stallings, Judy G. Arnold (David), Kathy G. Baker (Mitch); 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter L. and Daisy N. Wootton and brothers: Jimmie and Clarence Wootton.                        

A service to celebrate Carole’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Wendell United Methodist Church, 129 N. Main Street, Wendell. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm with a reception immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
