Carol Ann David Carson, 65, of Clayton, North Carolina and formerly of West Middlesex, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016. Carol was born May 20, 1951, in Sharon, PA, a daughter of Joseph David Jr. and Helen Ann (Olenik) David. She was a 1969 graduate of Kennedy Christian High School. Carol earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA. Later she became a Respiratory and Pulmonary Therapist after studying at St. Francis Medical Center School of Respiratory Care. Carol worked at Duke University Hospital for 10 years before retiring early in 2015 due to health issues.

Surviving are: a son, Scott Carson and his wife Amy of Windham, Vermont; a daughter, Melissa Marshburn and her husband Chris of Clayton, NC;; a sister, Barbara A. Urban of Sharpsville; two brothers: Steven David and his wife Darlene of Yardley, PA, and James David and his wife Judith of Mercer, PA; four grandchildren: Megan, James, Annabelle and Tanner.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Joseph David III and Francis J. David.

North Carolina visitation Friday, August 12, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.

Christian burial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, August 15, 2016 at the St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, Dutch Lane, Hermitage, PA  16148. Entombment: St. Rose Cemetery Mausoleum.
