Burrell Lamar Cousins, 87, of 222 Daniel Circle, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Burrell was born in Johnston County on April 26, 1930 to the late William Goldston Cousins and Helen Bunch Cousins. He graduated from Corinth Holders High School and retired as a machinist with Westinghouse. Mr. Cousins along with his family was a charter member of Green Pines Baptist Church.                         

Funeral service 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Green Pines Baptist Church, 1498 Hodge Rd., Knightdale, 27545 with Reverend Jarrod Scott officiating. Burial Clyde’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, 16657 Buffalo Rd., Wendell, 27591.

Surviving: sons: Mike Cousins (Alice) of Raleigh, Glenn Cousins (Linda) of Wendell; daughter, Lou Anne C. Liles (Mike) of Knightdale; grandchildren: Kristy C. Human (Dale), Matt Cousins (Lyndsey), Jennifer C. Ferguson (Al), Lorrie C. Hetzell (Jason), Jonathan Liles (Lindsey), Philip Liles (Shannon); great-grandchildren: Nicholas Human, Dylan Human, Mason Hetzell, Carson Nell Hetzell, Hunter Ferguson, Ash Cousins, Jake Uhalley, Ava Uhalley, Lennox Liles.      

In addition to his parents, Burrell was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Nell Mason Cousins in 2008; 5 sisters; 4 brothers.

The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, June 2, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545 and other times at the home.
