Bobby Lee Horton, 80, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018. He was born December 31, 1937 in Wake County to the late Freddie Clinton Horton and Eliza Brannan Horton. Bobby’s career with North Carolina State Government included his tenure with the SBI and SECU.

Funeral service 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Burial will follow at Social Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, 639 Hagwood Road, Zebulon, NC 27597.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service on Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Faye Debnam Horton; son, Tim L. Horton (Julie) of Alpharetta, GA; grandson, Brett Davis Horton; granddaughters: Caroline Ashley Horton and Jenna Grace Horton; brothers: Johnnie L. Horton (Helen) of Knightdale and Donald E. Horton Sr. (JoAnn) of Zebulon; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nina H. King and brothers: Dollie Horton and B.C. Horton.
