Betty Pollard Carlyle, 61, of 2824 Rosinburg Rd., passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 after many months of declining health. Betty was born in Wake County on July 8, 1955 to the late Roy Pollard and Genevieve Creech Hatcher. She married Chester Carlyle on November 26, 1972.  Although Betty had health issues most of her life, she always had a pleasant disposition and a smile for everyone.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. Burial will follow at the Alford Family Cemetery, Old Hwy. 64, Zebulon.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the funeral home.

Surviving: husband, Chester; son, David Thomas Carlyle (Violet) of Zebulon; grandchildren: Amber Carlyle of Zebulon, David Carlyle, Jr. (Margaret) of Cambridge, OH; sisters: Peggy Molden of Garner, Patsy Keith of GA, Brenda Mills of Smithfield; brother, Phillip Pollard of Fuquay-Varina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Judy Gay; brothers: Ronnie and Ted Pollard.
