Annie Young Cruze, 86, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016. She was born February 01, 1930 in Wake County to the late Sam Young and Kittie Stell Young. Annie attended Peace College in Raleigh. She worked as a secretary for the State of North Carolina during Governor Hunt’s administration. After retirement, Annie moved to her beloved Crystal Coast in Carteret County. She continued to reside in Morehead City for the next twenty years where she enjoyed fishing and working at the Capt. Stacy Fishing Center. Annie loved good wine and chocolate and displayed a great caring for animals in need. Annie lived a full life and leaves nothing but wonderful memories behind. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter Roberta Jo Cruze.

 Surviving: daughter, Deborah Barbour and husband Dennis of Lake Royale; son, Michael Cruze of Kure Beach; grandchildren: Shannon DeBruhl of Youngsville, Jennifer Ransdell of Cary, Alicia Potter of Raleigh; great-grandchildren: Robert Rolison of Wendell, Sarah DeBruhl of Youngsville, Robert Ransdell of Cary.

 There will be a service to celebrate her life at a later date.
